I think they made a great choice this year picking Taylor Swift. Here is a quote from the article that I couldn't agree more with...

I think she has done very well considering her age. She deserves it just for the reasons quoted above.

I'd agree that in this pre-packaged, fad of the minute, world she has proven her talent but writing her own material and keeping her act clean of the "crap" around her.

I respect what she's accomplished and what she's about, and she has kept it clean so if my daughters want to listen to her that's cool too. I just don't care for her music too much.

I agree she is a good choice!!!!

i've never listened to her b/c she's too poppy for me, but from what i know of her she does deserve it. He does have a point, most pop singers (i.e. Spears) had to be almost naked to make it big. I tip my hat to Ms. Swift, bravo
