"SRV" is the answer to the question "who is the most influenced blues musician."

The answer to the original question, IMO, is the player who is the clearest link between early acoustic blues (Robert Johnson, Huddie Ledbetter) and current guitar heroes, and I believe that is Muddy Waters.

Freddie King's licks are certainly heard far and wide, though.

there are many many amazing musicians that I love, I really don't think that I could say that SRV is the best, but he is sure as hell up there.
