I was obsessed with INXS (Michael Hutchence of course) when I was 6 years old. They really ignited that spark for me. I listened to a lot of The Beatles and James Taylor because of my parents. What made me the guitarist I am today really started because of Metallica.

Over the years those individuals that have mad the most influence on me are Jerry Cantrell, Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Jari Mäenpää, Paul Gilbert, Dave Mustaine, Chet Atkins, and Heri Joensen.

When I was about 18, I saw Paul Butterfield with Elvin Bishop and Mike Bloomfield...a huge inspiration for me.

A little while after that I saw The Jeff Beck Group when they had Rod Stewart as their singer. Jeff just blew me away...and still does!

I named some earlier, but I failed to mention Paul Gilbert as an individual guitar player, he convinced me to start taking the technical side of my playing more seriously.

My inspiration to become a guitarist would be my uncle. He's mad about guitars. But when I got my ashton 3 quater size it was only a pastime, and I played it very rarely. Until, I saw the way that daron malakian played. He looked like he was having so much fun, and that inspired me to pick it up once in a while. Finally, Kurt Cobain inspired me to start song writting, and getting obsessed with guitars.
