well yes, cmon who else writes a melody like abba? The only band in that bunch that come close to em are the stones.

And I thought this thread was going to be about intresting Sun Tzu quotes. Yet I find its another boring thread about a vapid pop act. Cant we all quote Sun Tzu instead he made some great statements that are certainly far more intresting and beneficial to everyone.

See I told you its far more intresting than John Mayer.

I have, I think it's boring, just like I think all his stuff (except a couple live clips of his Trio i have seen,) are boring. Personally I think he's mediocre, and bland. Not telling you to, but if you don't want to hear it don't keep posting about him.

selling a ton of records doesn't always mean you are awesome, it can mean you are well marketed. ABBA has sold more records than everyone except Elvis, the Beatles, Micheal Jackson and Frank Sinatra. So Abba i guess is much better than Led zep, the Stones, The eagles etc...

I'm not going to tell you not to like him, but the JM posts all ask what people think, then his supporters get upset when not everyone agrees.

i respect ur opnion, you gave ur opnion of his record, which was all my point was....lets talk the record not if he sux or not or overrted or not

Hi Kevin, The post was do you like Battle Studies. What was expected when such a question is asked. Everybody supposed to say WOW great? I don't think so!!!!
The nature of asking for an opinion is going to bring those that disagree. And there is nothing wrong with that for we all think differently.

but why post a reply if u havent listened to the record?
I have listened to some of it on my Juke Box account Yuk yuk I would not buy it that's why the name did not ring a bell. Once is enough when you don't like something. I do give all the benefit f the doubt because you ever know who will come out with something good. Mayer still waiting. Room for Squares and it's mumbling whisper tones eight years ago is what he's living off of. That and the %y bars he goes too.

I'm not so sure about that.

Kreski started a thread called Battle Studies, and the content reads "Love it!"

I don't see a question inviting opinions whether bad or good. Just a statement, or an expression. I mean, unless the english I've been speaking my entire American life is off, the original post doesn't seem to be open to interpretation.

So again, to each their own.

The new John Mayer album is just that: an album by John Mayer. Nothing wonderful about it at all and to me it's just like the rest of his solo work. I find it to be boring frat boy music. No offense to anyone who likes it of course.

"Boring frat boy music" is the same impression that I got. I loved Continuum, but Battle Studies seems a little watered-down to me. I like Crossroads and Perfectly Lonely but that's about it.

Woops! English Sorry then hate it.

Most post are to solicit comment not just to make a statement so who knows. Not really worth worrying about. There is so many different flavors of taste on the boards which is a good thing for it's the Spice of Life. Mayer groupies and those who aren't and every thing in between.
