can you do a treble bleed mod to an
s-1 switch my telecaster has it done and
sounds so good to be able to roll back the volume to
clean it up it still stays crisp
not so on the strat it sounds good but when
i have the volume below 5 or 6 it gets
muffled so is ti possible to add the cap
and do a treble bleed mod

Thanks to searching the interwebz ^^

The treble bleed mod can not be done on a S1 pot/switch. The circuit is used for several purposes and adding a capacitor is not an option.

The capacitor on the back of the S1 switch is not associated with a tone or volume control. It is used like an extra pickup for more switching combinations.

It is possible to modify the tone controls to a master tone and use the no load pot to blend in a pickup. With the S1 down #3 switch position being and sounding very similar, you may not want this blender option.

edit: Hopefully Martian or somebody who knows more than me can assess the validity of this statement. As far as I know it is true, but it is always good to have some validation ^^

I presume you mean to the pot itself and not the switch, per se.

Yes, it can be done.

correct I would like to add the
capacitor to the pot but I am not sure
which terminals it would go on because
the only diagrams I have found are for
normal volume pots

The terminals are the same. With the shaft of the pot pointing downwards to the floor and the three terminals facing you, it would be the left one and the middle one.
