A 6point trem with hot singlecoils on a guitar into a couple of jcm800's is my main setup. I occasionaly use a wah or a marshall vibratrem with a MXR od or burford mosquito for really pushing the gain up. Theres a tokai delay that I use on everything, its an old analogue one.

The amps are constantly set to flashfry and a couple of attenuators control the volume. One amps set for low mids the other is for high mids. Then I just balance volume between the amps depending on where I want the sound, bass heavy or treble heavy. Both amps run through celestion g75 speakers. I get a clean sound by lowering guitar volume. Because of the way the amps are set it doesnt muddy up like it does just using a single amp. I use a ashton wireless transmiter live. As far as cables go its whatever I've cobbled together over the years that comes to hand. Theres a lot of rubbish written about cables to get money out of potential buyers.

Round the house I use a vibrochamp XD, if I'm left alone I double it up with a old watkins. Both are under 7 watts so I can wind em up in the daytime.

My AD Tele into my Rivera Fandango. Just the guitar and the amp. That's what does it for me lately.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

For the metal jam sessions: HB bridged guitar, though which ones not really an issue for me...a Keeley Modded Boss MT-2 into a crappy solid state 120watt 2x12 combo...basically I just needed a loud, but cheap amp since the other guitarist thinks he needs a 150 watt halfstack, but I'm still "louder" than he is because he does not understand that the mids should not be on ZERO...With this set up I get a sort of High On Fire sound somehow...I have no idea how or why, as it was not the sound I was expecting with this set up, but it is the sound I have dreamed of getting...

At home, for my heavy...its not metal...its a heavy psychedelic rock sort of thing...Still on the quest for perfect tone with various pedals, amps, and guitars too numerous to list here...

Ibanez RG2550MZ (The white one with the maple/walnut fretboard) and a Fender MIA blizzard Pearl Telecaster Into a line 6 m13 which is put in stereo Left into a Fender 65' twin reverb RI and the right into a Fender Hot Rod Deville 2x12 sometimes with a Fender Satellite put into the FX loop of the Deville to make a bigger sound.

I tend to go from ambient tones to very heavy tones, and the ibanez does that, you can actually make is sound like a tele on the middle/neck pickup setting. And sometimes i just break out the tele just because i like her or for different tunings.

Its possibly the most versatile rig ever.

My 09 HWY 1 Tele of my 09 Fender MIM Tele into my SCXD. 90% of the time no pedals, bbut on those times when I do use it a Digitech RP355 on either my es6(rock setting I made) or my es5(country setting I made). The SCXD is so awesome that I generally use the effects on it..:) Life is good!!!

Lately I've confined my playing to my living room as my music room is blocked,so I'm playing my Eppy Firebird V,John Lennon 65 Casino or 50th Ann. Strat Clean through a Vox Pathfinder 15R with a Road Hog cable and D'Addario 8-38 strings.I find that playing clean brings the true tone of the guitar and improves your accuracy as you can pick up on the slightest mistake.

You can pretty much see all of my setup on the page bottom. I also use a Line6 Guitar port with my PC going into a 400 watt Onkyo amp and two large Infinity speakers. Late at night I substitute wireless headphones so as not to blow the wife outta bed. Nothing fancy, but it works for me. No real pedals or stomp boxes, but there are a bunch of them in the Guitar Port. Actually enough to keep you busy for ever trying out different combinations.

Best mix I have found so far is a Hwy 1 Telecaster with Kinman Broadcaster pickups, ernie ball coated 9's, 15w pro jr amp and a digitech RP 90 or clean

Standard strat, all stock, and Laney amp. D'addario 9's, Dunlop picks.
Nothing beats neck pickup on a strat!

Nice set-ups, like learning how others achieve their tone. Forgot to mention what my tone consist of. I use my butterscotch ash deluxe tele (MIA) 90% of the time with ernie ball hybrid slinky strings 9s-46 gauge. I normally play clean thru amps listed below with my band the bluez doctorz review, and when I sit in with just kill me rico or the watch city band. With my classic hits cover band, I sometimes use a dunlop wha, ibanez od, and a boss blues driver. At small venues and blues jams, I usually play clean thru my blues jr. Thanks for the replies, dutch.
