Okay I know this is going to be a very subjective question but I could really use some help and advice.
I have been learning/playing for around 6 months (mainly classic rock) and have been using Dunlop Tortex .60mm or .73mm picks. I have always had a problem with the pick rotating while I play. I recently tried several other picks and find that a small sized pick like the JAZZ III seems to be much easier for me and I have more control. My problem is I want to find something in the size of the JAZZ III but in a thickness close to .73mm.

The closest I have found locally is the Black Ice by Planet Waves which is pretty good but I would like to try some others.
So anyone have any ideas on such a pick?

take a look here...if you don’t see anything you like on the sight.. shoot Vinni an email... he would probably cut them in whatever size you need; he is a great guy to deal with and makes the best picks I have ever used…

The Jim Dunlop "Nylon" series has raised embossed lettering on the wide end that help keep them from rotating in your hand and the come in exactly the same gauges as the Tortex line and have roughly the same resistance to breakage and wear.

V-Picks are good, and what I use, but I know picks are a personal thing...

So if you want to stick to Tortex...I was going to suggest these....
http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php?page ... ucts/picks
....but they don't make them in .73mm...

But these Dunlop jazz picks do come in a .73mm Tortex...

The best picks by far is these:
Image

Not only are they really good griped, they contort perfectly into your thumb And they have a really thin edge for really fast picking and they have the knobly bits which gets you the maximum string scrapping

They're just the best. Personally i use the red transparent one ontop

You are probably the only person I know of who uses this type of shaped pick...I have seen the Dunlop Sharktooth looking picks for years, even tried some out back in the 80s, but just never liked them, and never ran into anyone who admitted they did until now...

I use the red (clear) for my acoustic play with a combo of my fingers. Binterz uses the white and red. Love Sharkfins, used to use them for electric too but when I joined my last band I started using Dunlop. Still use Sharks every time with my acoustic.

Okay, so now after over 20 years of playing, I now finally know of 2 people who use these sharktooth looking picks... 8)

So how many of these things are you each buying to keep this shape in current production? J/K...

I use these:
http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php?page ... ucts/picks

The purple ones, 1.14 mm

And these:
http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php?page ... ucts/picks

Big Stubby, 3.0 mm

As you can see, I like thicker picks. When I use Dunlop Tortex 1.14 mm, I turn the pick around, so that I play with the round part of the pick, not the sharp one. I hold a pick "normally" only when I use Big Stubby picks. They are too thick on the round parts for me to use it that way.

I use Wegen Picks... expensive, but indestructible. The difference they make to the playing experience is well worth it.

I use either V-pics or Dunlop Nylon .88's. Both will last you forever. I have never has issues with the picks rotating while playing since playing with these 2 brands. The V-pics are a little pricey, but well worth it.

Has anyone tried the Dunlop Tortex Pitch Black Jazz Guitar Picks
While bouncing around I found they do come in a .73mm and .88MM and look to be close to what I am looking for.

I've used Dunlop Nylons(.73&.80)since they came on the market, they don't slip no matter how sweaty your hands get or how much Pete Townshend style string bashing you do.
