Hey BSG,
It's funny you mentioned Gil, I was wondering the same thing a few days ago. Hope everything is cool with him, maybe just busy this time of year. Come on Gil, chime in :D

Hey mclmk8d,
I'm doing OK all things considered, I've lived with this condition most of my adult life. I guess I've just got used to it, it still gets scary sometimes though. It's amazing how much better my playing sounds, when I'm full of morphine  Sorry for going off topic Gratz

Looks like he posted here last week (8th) and with all of the holiday season chaos and confusion, maybe he's just busy?

I saw Gil's name logged on at the top of the page just the other day. Knew I'd seen him post too - Mike reminds me when.

I feel I noticed him showing up less a while ago. At that time I had an idea it was because the Forum was passing through one of its "angry" phases and I hoped he'd be back when it settled down. Still hoping!

We need Gil: he's one of the (many) good guys.

Cheers - C

Thanks for all the kind words folks.

Life has been a little busy for our family lately. We have been dealing with a family member who's been pretty sick, and he was in the hospital lately - he presented as having had a stroke - but that wasn't it - it turned out to be something wrong with his liver and he had pneumonia in one lung - so he lived in the ICU for awhile.

I haven't had much time for music, except for listening, let alone read and post a lot.

I'll try and free some time to do this every day - the guitar and my model trains help alot to free up my mind.

Thanks once more for the kind words,

Gil 8)

Hoping for the best for you and your relative.
I used to do trains too, when I was a kid. Have any pics?

Gil, good to know you are OK, and playing music. About 17 years ago I needed front and back rent money so I decided to sell off my trains. Had them advertised for a couple of days when I got a call from the only kid with a train collection like mine when we were 9 and 10 years old so consequently we played with them together through that part of childhood and he bought them from me. I've only seen them a couple of times since then but he is such a good hobbiest that they almost look and play better than when in my possession, almost. You are a great Lounge member Gil, thanks for updating us. Hope all is better now.

+1

At times like this, 'real life' takes a higher priority. Best wishes my friend!!!

Hi Gil: there's far more important things in life than posting on a forum, and it sounds like you have your hands full with some of them. We all wish you and your family member the very best.

Just know that there are people out there who like having you around, notice when you're gone and will be delighted to see you back as and when.

Best of luck to you, and have a great Christmas!

Cheers - C

PS Now then: where's Forum user bmcmillin got to...?
