Michael and I paid a visit to our friend Benn down at Ferrari of Ft. Lauderdale (formerly Shelton Ferrari) to wish him a happy holiday season; he's a guy who has known Michael since he was 5 years old, and Benn has always encouraged him to do well, he is also a great guitarist, and grad of Berklee Shcool of Music. As usual Mike and I drooled over the Ferraris and a few Maseratis; there were also a couple of Ferrari Challenge cars and a 575 LMGT in full race prep.
In the Maserati showroom were a couple of Lamborghinis, but the cool drooliness came from the 3 cars below; a McLaren-Mercedes SLR, a Porsche Carrera GT, and a Ford GT in Gulf Racing colors...enjoy

There was also a 512BBi and an F40

Gotta say I really dig the Ford in the Gulf colors, that's just plain sweet.

The car is a Carrera GT, one of 1207 made; approx 600 sold in the US. The average price these days is around $350,000-$370,000. This one had only 345 miles on it!

All pics were taken with my phone...decent for that. Michael showed me how to upload to my Mac via Bluetooth...pretty cool!

I've loved the Ford GT ever since the original GT 40 blew the doors off the competition back in the mid 60s.But my all time favourite sports car is the Ferrari 250 GTO.

Stratmansteve and I can expect to see you with GT on Saturday next, correct :?:

I saw his photos from the coast as well as his protestations. I expect that we can coax one more Guinness into him before his New Year's resolution kicks off. 8)

Great cars! I always love going to places like that. Here's one we just took delivery of on Friday. 2008 Porsche RSR. It's been on the track one time, in Germany.

All we could do is unload it into the shop. You need a very flat surface for this car. We couldn't even get it out of the driveway!
