easily "echoes, silence, patience and grace" by the foo fighters (i guess that i'm not the only one that thinks this album is genius!) but "raising sand" was very good too. i might be forgetting some albums but those are the ones that come to mind.

I don't have a favorite, but in my opinion one of the worst was Planet Earth by Prince.

Please don't sue me Prince, I just don't drink the purple koolaid. It ain't over til it's over! :P

its not really a band, but if you are looking for some varied orchestral music, i picked up the soundtrack from the game Halo 3, and the music is so relaxing at points, and others so powerful

as for a regular album, i stick by my vote of the foo's new cd

IMHO, 2007 hasn't been a banner year for guitar music. Virtually all of the CDs I bought this year are from the '60s to the '90s.

Ryan Bingham- "Mescalito"

Marc Ford - "Weary and Wired"

Grace Potter and the Nocturnals - "This Is Somewhere"

Ryan Adams - "Easy Tiger"

Son Volt- "The Search"

Wilco- "Sky Blue Sky"

probably my top 5 for the year. Everything else I bought was older and fillingin the collection I am trying to build.
