Lets not forget Levon Helms new album "Dirt Farmer". It seems to me that all the music he makes sound magical even after having recovered from throat cancer.

It's almost the end of 2007, and I'd have to say that John Mayer's "The Viallge Sessions" was the best "album" I bought. Only eight songs, but an incredible addition to "Continuum", which was one of the best 2006 albums.

I would have to agree, that 10 min Gravity track is amazing!!!

The Village EP was not bad either. - you gotta love an album that includes Ben Harper.

I barely bought any new albums this year but I think one of my favorite was probably Every Time I Die's The Big Dirty. Crazy southern metal guitars on there.

For an old timer like myself, there were a few artists I follow who had albums, John Fogerty, David Gilmoure, Mark Knofler, Bruce Springsteen (Seeger Sessions, Magic), Led Zeplin (Mothership), Clapton, Paul McCartney, Levon Helm, Gary Moore, The Crossroads DVD to name a few

I really spent my album money on collecting old records (The Hendrix Experience albums, Stevie Ray albums, etc.). But, I did like The Village Sessions, as well. Mayer needs to release more acoustic only stuff.

Hey, I've got a favorite album from this year, now! I can't think of the name of the album, but it was the Plain White T's'.
