well it's nearing the end of this year (already i know), well two months, but thats beside the point.... whats everyone's favorite album they bought, listened to, downloaded, etc. this year?

for me it "echoes, silence, patience, and grace" from the foo fighters.... its a great album with the perfect mix of acoustic, heavy, piano, and all out rock, a really good album in my opinion

My faves this year are the ones that The Glasspack, High On Fire, Clutch, Fu Manchu and QOTSA put out this year.

Sorry folks, but in my own admittedly humble opinion, the last few years have been for the most part pretty crappy, music-wise.

^i'm not saying they were great, but this thread can point out some of the stuff that was good.... theres a lot more commercialized stuff to make money, but there are still a lot of good minor label, and some major label bands out there

Wow , haven't had a chance to hear a whole lot as me and my buddy Jon St. James have been working on one to be the one.
Might be the one for somebody, out there...
It's the self-titled Echo Junkies album.
There is a myspace and it is available online, see what you think!

It's almost the end of 2007, and I'd have to say that John Mayer's "The Viallge Sessions" was the best "album" I bought. Only eight songs, but an incredible addition to "Continuum", which was one of the best 2006 albums.

I really liked the Klaxon's debut, and Voxtrot's too.

Loved the new Beastie Boys Effort, nice to hear artists go off on a totally different tangent sometimes.

Electrelane's 'No Shouts No calls' is excellent, though sadly they are no longer together :(

And Hijak Oscar's independent debut release was fantastc too. Bringin' back the blues rock woo!

So not a bad year overall.
