Does anyone have any opinion on the gold Line 6 Distortion modelor, ever played on or own it.. i know its not a fender question but im running short of distortion with my Fender Blues Deville, and cant seem to find a nice distortion box and that line 6 keeps coming up in discussions.

Cheers

I can't offer any help to you directly, since I have Line 6 amps for bass and guitar it's a little different.

However, I do know if you go on the Line 6 site you can access some forums, maybe someone on there can tell you what you need to know. I'm not sure but it can't hurt, I'm not familiar with the product you're talking about.

I have the same amp. I did two things, I got an Omni sonic volume control (E Bay about 18 bucks). I plug that in to my loop plugs. Now I can run the amp volumes at like 7 or 8 and get the full force of the amp and with the Omni I can plat at a much lower volume. But still have the ragging full on tube sound. I heard from someone on the forum talk about a Boss blues Drive with a Keeley mode I think its about 150 bucks. Simply the best. I had bought a new Tube Scremer9 and took it back I have a new Ratt 2 (collecting dust). Nothing comes close to the BBD Keeley mod.... I was thinking I would get rid of my amp till I got this stuff. It's a whole new amp with all the tone you could ever want. Also I want to thank all of the fender forum crew, with out the input from all of you I would of never found out about this stuff. So, I try and pass it on.. Mark from Maui
