In another thread we were talking about tribute bands and whether we like them or not.

Hypothetically who would you pay tribute to if that was your game and what would you call it?

Also whats the best and worst tribute names you have heard?

I would pay tribute to:

Guns N' Roses and call it:- Lines N' Noses

Best I've heard is:

The Eagles - The illEagles
The Stereophonics - The Stereophonies
The Rolling Stones - The Rolling Clones and The Strolling Bones

Worst I've heard is:

Bon Jovi - By Jovi
Nazareth - Bethlehem
Travis - Travisty

Lets hear you guys,
Cheers,

CC

Where I live we have a few tribute bands:

Kashmir - Led Zep
Outside the Wall - Floyd
Riff Raff - AC/DC
Mr. Brownstone - G n' R

I am not sure if these ones are local but they have played here:

Fraud Stewart - Rod Stewart
Shania Twin -Shania Twain
Nearly Neil - Neil Diamond

There's an AC/DC tribute band here in Winnipeg called "Whole Lotta Angus". They've got their covers down to a tee

There used to be a good Doors tribute band in the late 70s early 80s that used to play Lamours in Bklyn NY called Crystal Ship that were really good. I remember Twisted Sister used to play there regularly before they hit.

I saw a Zeppelin tribute band called "The White" many years ago. Never understood the name.

There's an all-female Zep tribute band called Lez Zeppelin. They have some stuff on YouTube that's pretty good.

I used to know some guys in a mostly-REM cover band called "Dead Letter Office".
