I recorded this with a female singer doing the lead vocals. I played the other parts including the 18 second guitar solo (had to make every note count!) and did the mixing.

Hope you enjoy!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

Certainly more worthy of the breakfast table than my efforts. I liked the length of the solo. It sounded very confident. Long solo's tend to sound like the players on autopilot to me.

Killer guitar tone Mike, what did you use?

Thanks guys!

Nick, I used a Korg Pandora (PX5D) with the pitchshift patch tweaked to give a lower octave which I faded into the mix after the first few notes.

The keys, bass and drums are all from an Akai MPK49. 14 tracks in all, bounced down to two at 320 kbps.

I had to add that echo on the end of her vocal track to be able to fade in the outro and then fade it out again.

Recorded with Ableton Live 8 software.

Glad you like it, Hop. This was all done online over the period of about 10 days or so. It went back and forth a bit and finally ended up like this.

I'm happy with the way it ended up. :)
