Since I grew up saying nineteen ninety, nineteen eighty, etc, and still said taht while saying two thousand one, two, three, etc. it's nice to get back to saying stuff like twenty ten.
It's been an old ten years that way.

Check out this website:

It's Twenty-Ten, Not Two Thousand and Ten

It's not my site, but I endorse its message. 8)

Well, now that we're a few weeks into the year I call twenty-ten, what are you hearing? What are you saying?

BTW, I've noticed that National Public Radio is officially saying twenty-ten as well. 8)

I've heard it both ways so far but, twenty-ten seems to be prevailing.

At the turn of the century, people said 2K a lot, so just a little extra.

I won't presume to speak for Her Majesty, but a certain notable ex-Timelord says twenty-ten: BBC stars discuss how to pronounce 2010 8)

Sorry mate, but our Vicky banned him from the country, she was not amused with his time jumping antics. (some episode with a werewolf)
It's her Maj's country and her language.

Now I'm off to salute the flag and think about how much better it would be if Christopher Eccleston made a return as Doctor Who. Whilst the missus sings rule Britania.
