Hey i was just wondering if the Vox Cooltron Over the top boost is good for playing blues covers???

MOstly SRV

Throught a Fender Stratocaster of course

the vox cooltron dual overdrive is a wonderful peadal for a rich warm blues tone ala srv

its a great pedal,but imo if you are looking for a srv type tone, the dual od is a better choice, but really if u want to sound like srv you need to get a tube screamer

Speaking of CoolTron...does Vox still make the VibraVox? Haven't seen it at the instrument sites lately, but it still shows up at the Vox web site.

not sure about that but i know they are discont. the cool tron series, which is a shome they are great pedals. I like the vox pedals real well i use the vox time machine delay and the satchurator on my board all the time.

O ok. WEll will it do good covers of SRV. Like not exactly matching his tone???

And is it quite flexible??? Like enough to maybe do CLiffs of Dover?

no one peice of gear is going to be versitale enough to do srv and ej, i mean u can play there set up and it wont sound like them, but a tube screamer or the dual od will dial in something close and get the job done for you
