Many places online seem to still have the Meguiars guitar stuff in stock, so why not just order as much of that as you can, then perhaps in the time it takes you go go through that stash, perhaps another product will emerge to take its place...If not...then there's not much you can do, unless you somehow work out a deal with Meguiars to bring back the discontinued Meguiars-Fender line under some other name...

Now perhaps there are some slight chemical and mixture differences between the Meguiars car and Meguiars guitar product...However, guitar and car exteriors are commonly metal and paint, so how much difference can there actually be? I suggest getting a cheap guitar to experiment with various Meguiars, and other polishing products, to see...

Thats what many people forget, people polished guitars way before there were guitar polish and accessory companies...so what did they use? Hmmm, Fender started using car paint colors and finishes in order to start offering a wider variety of color choices...so this would cause me to think that perhaps some of the polishes used before the 'guitar polishing/maintenance product market' existed we some form of car care product. So the stretch from guitar polishes to car polishes is perhaps not as far fetched as it may seem initially...
