Currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, we have:

Nirvana
Whitesnake
Panatera
David Bowie
Eagles
Pink Flloyd
The Who

Some of them make since to me and others are a stretch. The Eagles? Well sure. There is tons of great material to draw from. Whitesnake? I guess if they have a Twany Kitaen look-alike sprawled accross the hood of a car, I could go see them once. I believe Panatera was a local band, so that explains the following.

What tribute bands are listed under musicians on your areas craigslist? :)

A friend of mine is making some nice cash in a Tom Petty tribute band. If you're good, you can make some serious cash.

Looked through the first two hundred postings and not one cover band anything, no wonder why the musicians in Chicago are so skinny if they would play a cover once in a while it could turn into getting comp't some thing other than drinks.
