At the school where I work, we have to do a class basket for a auction in February to raise money for our school. (We do have a small music department and I am a BIG advocate of having music/art in schools). I chose (with a HUGE approval from my class) to do a "Rock on" basket to fill with music goodies like picks, strings, books, cds, dvds,...anything music related. I was wondering if there was anyone at Fender I could ask to put something in the basket like picks or a sticker with their logo on it or something like that (maybe a t-shirt?). That would really help us out. We're a small Catholic school and we need all the help we can get.

Thanks.

PS--I can supply an address privately with phone numbers to validate that I'm telling the truth.

Theres something similar to that in the FAQ section of the site:

"Will Fender sponsor or donate to my special event or charity function?

Possibly. Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is involved in numerous charitable projects, music education seminars and special events, and gladly considers charity donation and event sponsorship requests. Fender accepts such requests only in the form of a written proposal mailed to:

Fender Musical Instruments Corp.
ATTN: Administration (Donation/Event Sponsorship Request)
8860 E. Chaparral Road, Suite 100
Scottsdale, AZ 85250-2610 USA"

good luck with your fundraiser ,the place to go would be any music merchadising show, like the NAMM show, you can pick up enough shwag at these things to fill a trailer. Also you might want to contact radio stations and event promoters for show tickets and cds. Free beginner lesson coupons from local teachers is also good filler.

I don't know about who to contact at Fender, but didn't you have some luck getting in touch with one of the big wigs at Coffin Case? You might wanna try asking them as well...for stuff for the auction, not about who to get in touch with at Fender, though you never know...if you mention who else you are trying to contact, they might know someone who might be able to assist you further...

You might want to email Brad here on the board...he is the magical moderator and all-around good-guy.
