I saw an article in a local newspaper that a fellow
80 miles south of where I live is making and selling
guitar picks made out of Montana, and Brazillan
Agate.

Has anyone had any experience with these or
any other type of stone picks ?

He also makes them out of other stones.

Thanks,
Rasputan

I guess they'd be ok, if you like your pick "super stiff" hehe.

Medium is probably as stiff as I'll ever get.

I wonder if he custom builds them with a comfort grip :)

Sounds like a nightmare for your strings... surely it wears them away in no time? :? Doesn't sound like a great material for a pic to me.

Stone and tortise shell picks have been around forever. Not my cuppa tea though. Can you imagine the damage you could do to the face of your guitar with one?

Seems like it would take its toll on your strings quickly.
