The Duncan Donuts store on my way to work was torn down last week.

If we translate that into blues-speak, we would say that the Dunkin Donuts is tore down, almost level with the ground. 8)

I'm not sure there's a song in there worthy of becoming a classic.

Maybe they're going to build a bigger one -- A Duncan Donuts Super Store!! Actually I'm trying to lose a few. I haven't been in there in a long time . . . maybe that's why it's tore down almost level with the ground.

Anybody know the origin of the doughnut ?
A sea captain was eating cake in rough seas and needed both hands on the wheel so he stuck the cake onto one of the wooden handles of the wheel punching a hole in it. Go on Google for more details....

A sea captain swilling rum to calm the roughness of the seas or a sea captain tearing chunks off a leg of lamb after their last merchant ship plunder in the rough seas, but cake, what ship was it, the good ship lollipop and was he captain kangeroo?

You obviously didn`t read everything I wrote in the post....I said to Google " Origin of the Doughnut " for details...you would have seen the name of the captain who invented it...

actually i heard that the reason for the hole in the middle of a traditional doughnut is because when they put the dough in the frier, the middle inside wouldn't cook properly, and people would get sick. so they decided to remove the middle so it would cook evenly.

source: travel channel (i know not the best source to cite, but they're credible and i know they dont pull stuff out their arses)

Hanson Crockett Gregory a 15 year old boy who asked his mother to remove the softer centers of the cakes, hardly a captain, a tall tale, thanks JPD.

I'd rather eat them, than spell them.
