I just got back from my usual gear place,Reid Music in Mt. Pearl,NL. with my early Christmas present from my darling, sweet, wonderful, joy to be with wife,my 4th guitar from her in as many years.I think I see a pattern here, this one however isn't a Fender for a change but an Epiphone Custom Shop Sunburst Firebird and I must say she sings real pretty. While I was in the store however I went into the room they have for upscale models and fell deeply in love with some beautiful Strats and Teles the one that really caught my eye was a Custom MIJ Strat with binding on the top with a beautiful glassy natural finish it was a work of art. They also had a MIJ Jaguar Bass in gloss black that was a knockout,I didn't know there was such a thing but it has what appears to be a slim Jazz style neck and with the Jaguar wiring and pickup placement should be a really versatile bass.I was like the proverbial kid in a candy store,I told Jr. the owner that if I won the lottery on Friday I would be in Sat. morning to gut out his specialty room.As I always say,a guy can dream.

I was just having a closer look at the Firebird,it looks like the previous owner may have replaced the Eppy pups with Gibson pups as there is evidence of someone having a go at the pups.Judging by the sound it is quite possible as she sounds much hotter than my G400 Custom with stock Eppy pups unless they upgrade for custom shop pups.I'll have to check this out further.

Hi BT :I know all the guys in L&M quite well and have bought gear their too however where they are now part of a national chain most of the profits go to Toronto whereas Reids is locally I have also found that Jrs. posted prices are usually much lower than L&M.All that being said L&M has one of the best guitar Techs in Eastern Canada.Anyway I got a great deal on the Bird $530 with case and in near mint condition.
