Lets have a positive thread for a (welcome) change!

Whats everyone here's favourite thing about the holiday's?

Mine is just seeing my niece smile when you tell her Santa's coming. Her face lighting up is whats getting me through the days.

Lets hear yours!

Cheers,

CC

Ah man I love Christmas.

I love to see people opening their presents. I love that the kids are around the house wanting fun fun fun. So much so i just dont drink at all over the period. I never have, even when I was a youngster I enjoyed seeing my sisters on christmas morning too much to ruin it with a hangover.

I love the cold weather too. I feel more alive for it.

Positive, hard to change your thinking that way since the negative is so much easier to point out we overlook the positives.

I have kids so the whole season is fun with them around. Shopping with them for each other, wrapping, the secrets.

My wife and I always make a scavenger hunt with 3-4 clues for the kids to follow to get their "big" present, that's fun to create and watch them do.

I have some great memories of Christmas as a kid with my grandfather that always come to mind. He was the best, still miss him now. Big positive part to my holiday memories.

Making, playing and listening to music! And being able to do it every day!

By the way, I am always positive! An optimist! It's in my blood!
Even when I'm feeling bad I'm loking at the bright size of life!

The Holidays are a great time of year, Everyone I meet seems to be smiling. I get to see some of my family only during the holidays and the best part is enjoying my young grandchildren. Seeing the excitement and wonder in their eyes is incredible. I just seem to have more hope in Humanity!! :)

I enjoy having my family all together for at least one day. I miss being with my old family back "home" but I make sure to give them a call and let them know I am thinking about them.

1. This will be my grandson's first xmas.
2. A bought a book of xmas music, and some the the noises I now make actually sound like something.
3. I hope by the time he is able to sing a christmas carol I'll be able to play it, well.

Although I"m not a regular church goer by any means I have always been deeply Christian in my beliefs and actions so my favorite thing about the season is celebrating the birth of Christ.I enjoy having family, especially kids around, and the whole Christmas thing except I could never understand why so many people chose to be hammered drunk over what's supposed to be a religious holiday.Having friends of many different cultures I know that the Christmas season coincides with a lot of their religious holidays and I make it a point to let them know that I wish them the best for their religious observances after all most religions have one credo in common and that is respect and tolerance for other's beliefs. So to all whatever faith or religious persuasion...Have a good one.

I live in NY and when I step out of the state I am always surprised how friendly people are in general. lol So those three or four days around the holidays I like the effect it has on people even here in NY, people just act different during the holidays. But then things go back to normal.

I really do miss NYC, especially at this time of year.

I love Christmas for alot of reasons. First thing i love to celebrate my saviors birth. I love spending time with all of my family together. I really enjoy watching my kids tear through their gifts and seeing the sparkle in their eyes with each new treasure. Then to top it all off the seasonhas cooler weather which for some reason my guitars have a fuller tone to them. CC thanks for coming up with a really good thread. It hsould warm everyone up for the season. I wish you all the happiest of what ever you celebrate this season.

Nothing more magical than your kid waking you up at Five on Christmas morning with a whispered.............. "He's been" in your ear and a gentle poke in the eye incase you hadn't heard him, he could have been there since four in the morning
