Yup - life is good. I'm 7 years ahead of airbornestrat. Retired from the US Air Force and no reason to have a job if I don't want one. I stayed up all night again messing w/ my music and reading.

It's 12:30 in the afternoon and I just got up! No boss. No worries! :)

Bros, I am amazed and confuciused by your insightful posts on said subject. I must say that as, a handsome, debonair, bon vivant, ladies man about town, oh wait that would be one or all of you guys, when ever I need a boost out of the doldrums I come to the Lounge and you Bros cheer me up. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I absolutely agree with you. Life is fantastic.

I'm a workaholic with no job. (thats caused a bit of a brain melt this last year. spent 9 months thinking i was dying)
No prospects outside of my previous job.
Little intellegence

I'm the luckiest man alive today. I get to bum around the house tinkering with guitars. I get out to play a couple of times a week. My missus is a fantastic cook, loves me unendingly. The kids are all fantastic, the future dictator- school ace, the daddies princess-maths genius, and the little despot with a penchant for torturing her dad with sleep depravation.
Add to that, no one bothers me. I've no friends in my locale, that come troubling me to do things for em.

I've got it made.

If the housing market ever recovers I'll be back to working a 80 hour week and loving that too. Its all perspective.

Outstanding outlook you have Niki. :)

Life is good.

No job security, but I and everyone else I know, are not hungry.

I'm employed. At the local sandwich shop making $9.00 an hour.
I'm educated. At least I was a year ago before I dropped out of college.
I have a nice car. If one considers a 1994 Honda Civic with 150,000 miles and rusting out due to rock salt nice.
I have a good house. Well, my parents have a good house.
I am in good shape. That is a lie.
I'm in a good relationship. That is an epic lie.
I have money. Found a dime leaving work today ^^
I had good self esteem. Emphasis on had.

So, why am I happy? I have a guitar with six strings that's in tune, food, air and water. The fact that it's a Fender Stratocaster makes it even better :D

Life is very good. I've got a roof over my head, I'm not hungry and I've beaten cancer in the past year. Sort of puts a new spin on how you see life :D
