Some of the best Hard Rock guitars ever made were the Hamer California Specials with Ebony Fret boards, Schaller FLoy Roses and beautiful Flame maple tops, even some marble and other custom finishes that were incredible. The other one was the Sceptre Destroyers and flying V's

I think Fender could apply the same principals they have applied in strats and offer these to the public. I have several California Specials and they were some of the best rock guitars for metal ever made. I once tuned one in the studio, went to an outdoor festival in the mountains and played for 4 days and then drove hundreds of miles back home and put it on the tuner and it was still dead on in tune! That was a Red Metal Flake Hamer California Special.

When did Hamer become a Fender company? I must have missed that memo.

I did. Hamer isn't listed under the "other brands" link.

I see....Fender bought Kaman Music. The deal isn't done yet so Hamer isn't listed as a Fender brand yet. I wonder what Fender will do with the brand?

We've owned Guild® for like 398 years (OK, not really, but it's been a good while now :-) ). Check out this link for more info on why you'll no doubt see some Hamer®-related postings appearing here and there.

Right now Jackson and Ibanez own the Metal Guitar market, If fender does get Hamer, I could kick that door down with new models from Hamer.
I have been playing for 40 years and would love to be involved in bringing back the Californian and Sceptres. I also own a JS700 Ibanez that I rewired with EMG 81 and 85, which I would have done alot better job on the Stratosonic. Its a tank, the Idea is right but the guitar is a boat. I would have built it with a lighter body and EMG 81 and 85's active. with an Ebony fret board and flame maple top with the old school hard tail bridge.
