Hi Mike: my wife and I were not fast enough off the mark chasing tickets for that show in our town. By the time we looked the best we could get was row R of the upper circle for £120 / $199.

I'm too old: that just seems silly to me nowadays. Too far away and too expensive.

I'll buy the DVD - and also hear what you guys have to say about the show!

Cheers - C

I've seen Jeff Beck recently "live" and plenty of DVDs on recent Clapton shows, so I'm not sure I'd go.

YouTube has some great clips of the recent RnR HOF shows and Beck and Stevie Wonder playing together is a good take!

I caught them playing together on a show on the Paladia channel..I've always loved Clapton..but I was very impressed with Jeff Beck..to me he may be the very best player today IMHO.

Jeff is playing the best he's ever played. He's a marvel, always progressing, unlike many of his esteemed colleagues.

What the hell is this nonsense American Express members get first crack. I have to pull some strings right away here. I knew this show was coming and I sure as hell want to be there but not in the nose bleeds.

Also great to see Beck who if you never thought about it is well off but not super wealthy like Clapton and most guys from his era as he has been a solo artist for the last 40 years. So a few sold out shows of this magnitude and probably a dvd and cd along with Ronnie Scotts going platinum will be making his bank account much bigger and that makes me happy because he deserves it for being a true genius. It is almost mind boggling when you really analyze the fact that after the short stint in the Yard Birds and the Jeff Beck group with Stewart he was never in a major band.

It would be so awesome to see the show. Eric and Jeff are such an interesting mix. Eric with his fantastic take on blues and Jeff the wizzard.
:D

Better yet, what the hell is this nonsense that rock concerts only rate midweek bookings. Every freak'in appearance by this guy is at a time and place which interferes with my life. I'll wait on the DVD too.

For the last one I attended I had row F floor at the Garden and two rows in front of me was a guy who must have played center position in basketball. Give me my HD flatscreen, popcorn, chips. beer and recliner.
I can do without the crowds, the scalpers, and the midnight ride east on the Long Island Railroad afterwards.

I would have seen Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood had the tickets not cost $250 for my Dad and I to have a couple of nose bleed seats. I figure that for $250 I could upgrade the pickups and the bridge in my Strat and I'd still have enough money left over to buy the DVD.

Good call. Support local music. You can see an awesome band in an awesome atmosphere for little money.

the most i ever paid for a ticket was 65 quid cuz o the exchange rate at time for a springsteen gig in dublin. And i bought cc one too as a big thank you for some o the gigs he's brought me to. Includin a clap one he got me for a christmas present a few years before. he wasn't a big fan then. But i wasn't goin on my own. And it was the best gig i ever seen. Worth the money. But as much as i love clap and appreciate jb, that is exorbitant!

I think it'd be a great show to catch. They both bring out the best in each other and Madison Square Garden isn't that far from where I am but I have a feeling it will be pretty pricey. I think, too, that I'll wait for the DVD of this one.

prices announced today for MSG shows, was hoping to get a couple since first show is on my birthday, but, too damn expensive. 289 for floor and 179 for loge/promenade. I'm not paying 65 for nosebleeds either!

What if they throw a concert and nobody goes because the ticket prices are out of control? I liked Texasguitarslinger's answer, Mod our own axes and play along with the sound track.

Works for me,
