Been there, Nevin. Know what its like to have no income, a mortgage to pay and young children to feed. I can also remember a time when I could not afford a new pair of shoes, had no warm coat for the winter, and dinner consisted of a bowl of soup and a roll at a local cafeteria.

Persistence is the key. Toss hamburgers at McDonald's if you can. Pump gas.

Be creative. Find yourself a gig and play out. Find a street corner, sit your $@! on a milk crate with a battery powered amp, open your guitar case and play some blues for the people. It happens in NYC all the time.

Waking up in the morning is always a good day, no matter if the sun isn't shining.
