Hi Gang, This is from a blog I write at another site, thought you all may like it...

As most of you know I'm in business for myself... So these days you think about how to do business in a completely different way than you did before...

Lets get into business mode with the late Nino Rota and the Godfather Waltz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkpbu00_7k0 loved that movie, still do.

Next, lets check out Slash and the Godfather Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCplsXu1HRk WOW thats brilliant!

Hope you liked it

Bill

Both good videos, but I would have to prefer the Nino Rota more. :]

Ok now this is as famous as it gets and the original is burned into everyones head. Well I can remember a week before the Use your Illusion albums came out I was at a G&R concert at the Nassau Coliseum. They did not come on till 11pm but made up for it by kicking $@! . Slash goes off to the right of the stage and was not playing his Les Paul and started going into his solo number I believe on a B.C Rich when all of a sudden the first 7 notes of the Godfather theme come out.

Well today it became his trade mark solo spot though I dont know if he did it with revolver but it was just brilliant and very creative. I always loved his playing as his solos especially on slower tempo songs are great to study. He knows just what notes to use and can be just a beautiful melodic player and then hit the pedal and let it fly. He really raised the Les Paul from the dead.
