Where can I get certain fender parts? I had a look on the website but couldn't find what I was looking for.

My problem is that the tremolo arm sheared off on my 07 american standard strat a few months back, leaving the screw end of the arm still inside the bridge block. Unfortunately, it sheared off in such away that its below the level of the trem arm hole so I'm unable to get it out.

I was looking to either purchase a new arm and block to fit, or perhaps upgrade to a new bridge such as the american deluxe 2 point. Where can I get this (I live in th UK)? I was suprised that you could not find fender trem systems on the fender website...

You can take that trem block to a machine shop and they'll pull the whammy shank out for a tenner. They'll just use an easy-out bit. Hope this helps...... 8) Mike

check ebay. there is a seller called "FenderReliable" who I have recently bought parts from and he has great products and feedback.

Hi sonicsamurai: in the UK you can try www.wdmusic.co.uk and click Genuine Fender from the menu on the left.

You could also try www.axesrus.com . Or www.stringsdirect.co.uk - again click Genuine Fender Parts on the left. And there's www.allparts.uk.com - for some reason they are always the last place I look, though.

Any of the realworld shops that is an Authorised Fender Dealer will either have a bridge in stock or be able to order one. A quick Google will find you so many there's no need to list them here.

Lastly, I'm seeing plenty of Fender bridges available on UK Ebay.

BTW: to get that broken piece of arm out you can use this type of tool:

http://www.axminster.co.uk/product-Axmi ... 576720.htm

or more cheaply this:

http://www.axminster.co.uk/recno/2/prod ... -23106.htm

You can order that online from a supplier such as Axminster, or find it a little cheaper on Ebay, or pick it up in Robert Dyas, Maplins, maybe B&Q, Halfords - or any decent tool shop. It's standard kit.

For a machine shop Google or look in Yellow Pages. There's zillions out there. Any car repair shop probably has the gear to extract that arm.

Lot of options...

Good luck - C
