Two things I like in particular about the Sienna Burst Strats; obviously the body color and also the maple neck.

Hi Warpfield: I walked into the shop for something completely different (a MIA SSS in chrome red) but that one was sitting on a stand by the counter glowing and it just said; "Take ME!" And it wasn't asking - it was telling!

I was trying to stop myself but the sales assistant murmured in my ear; "Just look at this neck. Plays like butter - looks like butter!"

I thought; ohmyG... Now I want to lick it as well as play it!

No regrets. :D

Cheers - C

That Sienna Sunburst is fantastic, that finish with the quality woodgrain showing is just stellar. That is, IMO, the classiest looking burst there is.

But classic brownburst isn't bad either I guess. I like it on acoustics much more than natural.

Hi KISSfan: well right back at ya - I like both of yours, especially the one on the right. Smokin'!

BTW: interesting to find Forum user with a tie-dye Strat. You don't see many of those around...

Cheers - C

Thanx Ceri, that one on the right is just a fabulous guitar, my Montara. Hard to believe Fender made such a nice acoustic and there is so little info on them around. That was the first "burst" I had and at first I wasn't crazy about that brown but it grew on me and it has much more character than a natural acoustic, IMO.

That tie-dye strat is very smooth, my talent doesn't merit my having such a nice electric but I figured if I'm gonna have one elec 6 string it would be one I really liked.

I had a Squier Strat in Cherry Sunburst that was about as close to that Sienna as I could get. I know it's miles apart but the Squier was a great starter and served me well. Had to get rid of it when I needed some extra $$ for a new bass amp.
