Who would you like to see play in a band together?

Any combination of musicians. Time travel counts. Dead, alive. Etc etc etc.

I guess, since I believe in the magic of the trio:

Richie Kotzen - guitar and vocals
Stu Hamm - bass (sucker can groove)
Mitch Mitchell - Drums (also can groove)

If this has been done already, bump it. I'd like to see some ideas.
(and btw, Chickenfoot doesn't count)

more of a favourite band set up for me would be:

Kurt Cobaine: Vocals and rhythm guitar
John Deacon: Bass guitar
Mark Knopfler: Lead guitar + Vocals
Dave Grohl: Drums+ Vocals
Rick Davies: Keyboards

An actual super good band:

Steve Perry: Vocals
Jimmy Hendrix: Lead Guitar
John Entwhislte: Bass Guitar+ French Horn+ Vocals
Neil Peart: Drums + Percussion
Eric Clapton: Lead Guitar #2+ Rhythm Guitar

Actually that might not really mingle well... who really knows if throwing together a group of random people who rock at what they do would make it a good band.

Seriously....Could Pete Townshend play nice with a presence like Freddie Mercury? I really doubt it.

What would be interesting is a band with both John Bonham and Keith Moon playing!!! No doubt the something horrible would happen!

Or Pete Townshend and Duane Allman in the same band - I mean, what the heck kind of music is this band meant to be playing, anyway?

And if anybody knows Tommy Kennedy: the idea that he'd have anything to do with this mess, well...

But hey, it's all about egos, and since mine would be the biggest I'd be saying; "Listen men, this is my band so do what I tell you, shut up and play!"

BTW: I half remember a story told by Dougal Butler (Keith Moon's batman) about The Who and Zeppelin finding themselves in the same town while touring the States, and Moon getting up on Bonham's kit along side him and jamming away together. Butler said everyone was right into it - the mere thought of it sounds bloody awful to me!

I'd want to jam with Jimmy Page, Muddy Waters (dead) or Santana (living) and Sergio Vallin on guitars. Neil Peart on drums. Willie Dixon playing a standup bass. Ike Turner on the piano.
