Hey fender gals/guys. Again, I've been away for a while. I like to play my guitar now more often than wishing i had a better one ;)

So, I DID indeed make it into the band I tried out for a while ago. Their style is more punk/alternative, but I happen to be one of the finest young lead guitarists in my school (not to brag, those are not only MY sentiments). I play blues rock, and rhythm guitarist/singer thinks a bit of rock n'roll behind (or rather, side-by-side with) punk should sound nice. The name is day of distortion (or something), and its sort of shocking to hear these hendrix/clapton blues riffs amid the power chords and heavy drumming. Our first cover is Smooth, Santana.

BTW, rumor confirmed: drummers are the dim light bulbs of the lot (no offense, danny :) )

Congrats man! Very happy for you.

Punk in the back with blues on top sounds a bit like early GN'R or even my own band to me. Maybe even Hanoi Rocks if you swap the lead guitar for a sax.

Best of luck and I hope you are enjoying it man! Its better to be busy with your music than on here talking about it.

Well done! 8)

I echo those sentiments. It's a good feeling ain't it! I'm always lookin forward to practice myself these days. That is not a common feeling. Only happens at most two or three times in your life if you're very lucky. I really hope it goes well for ya. Blues fits everything. Most rock came from blues. Well, most rock i listen to anyway.
