what do you use/praise?
i used to use Dean Markley Blue Steels years ago, but the last 3 or so years it has been Ernie Ball. my Prodigy, M-II Deluxe, 20th Anniv. Squire, and Charvel are equipped with the EB Heavy Top, Slinky Bottoms(10, 13, 17, 30, 42, 52). then on my Epiphone '59 Korina explorer re-issue, LTD V-100, and Lotus custom strat, i use the EB Not Even Slinky sets(12, 16, 24p, 32, 44, 56), then replace the 56 with either a 65 or 68 gauge.(have to check the sleeve) to think of it, its been a long time since i've broke a string with the EBs. for cleaning, i got the string cleaner that clamps on both sides of the strings. i also have the fast fret cleaner. i think both do a good job on keeping them clean.

I've been using these since the first time I changed my strings on both my guitars. I really like em. Nice and bright and they seem to last pretty long. I like the Elixirs for acoustic too. I have only really okayed Elixirs and DAdarrios

Ernie Ball Regular Slinky's. Love them. They have more of an elasticated response than other 10's for some reason on my Tele.
