If his solo career doesn't really take off, don't be surprised to see him doing something with Queen.

So, I'd say he'll be the new Freddie Mercury before he's the new Elvis.

Oh, God, no.
Heaven forbid.

I know that Brian posted that he and Roger were definitely interested in doing something with Adam in the future, which freaks me out to no end. I swear, if Adam becomes Queen's new singer, I'll shoot myself.

Why so opposed? Do you like them with Paul Rogers, just curious?

The only thing he has in common with Elvis is the color dye he uses in his hair.

It's stories like that, that make me wish for a 'World Elvis Day'. Where we can all dress up like the king and be a bit outragous. I gigged with an Elvis impersonater when I left school. It was suprisingly brilliant. Really well paid (Around £320 a week avg, tax free) and really appreciative audiences. And no body minded you acting a bit of a goon as long as you didnt upstage the main man.

I reckon it would be great. Everyone dressed in capes and jumpsuits ramming bigmac's into their face. Or as teddyboys with crepes and the big brothel-creeper shoes constantly combing their bunch of grapes hair-do.

I'm quite the starwars fan and recently discovered that Jedi has now been accepted as a religeon in England since the 01 census. So I thought to myself lets have a look at what that lot are doing now, well i was quite disgusted
http://www.jedichurch.org/.
Its nothing but a bunch of middle aged blokes acting like kids. If I were incharge of that lot I'd atleast devote some resource to researching and furthering telekenetic studies, instead of just wandering around every may spouting 'may the fourth be with you'.

So why not World Elvis Day? Its easily arguable that Elvis bought and still brings more joy to peoples lives than Cupid, St George, St Andrew, even St Patrick.

And finaly NO, I'm not a fan of Elvis's music. I simply cant deny his stature as an icon.

A'huy'a'huh.

The Elvis comparison is because of his look. He has that "perfect face" and dyed jet-black hair ... just like Elvis.

Someone said above he is a "switch hitter". Ummm, no. You can be sure every at bat is from the other side of the plate.

Maybe in Jerry Seinfield's Bizzaro World.

Yes, I agree. I watched a total of 60 seconds of his performance, immediately understood that he was a sell out, and thought to myself.......he has lost himself to bizzarro world......obviously once the cash starts coming in innate talent immediately leave the building....that goes for 90 percent of the performers (IMO) - except however Carrie Underwood. I very much liked her performance, although it weren't much like country music.....

Personally the guy disgusts me with his performances, but I will say that his version of Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come" showed some pretty amazing vocals...on par with that guy that did "Over The Rainbow" on some talent show many years ago...Sam Harris?

Would it really be that bad?

I had the feeling that Brian and Roger were ready to sign him up that day they were involved on American Idol!

Personally, I don't think much of his new material. So I would wager that Queen day will come sooner rather than later, sorry.

It seems these entertainment "reporters" engage more in hyperbole today than they used to . . . and that's saying something. After watching the AMA's the other night, I'm convinced more than ever that it's more about spectacle than music.

A spectacle is certainly what it is.

i agree, no band will ever reach the like of the Beatles or Elvis

the Beatles had girls pissing on themselves, i highly doubt the Jonas Bros. do that

as for Lambert....well for what i have to say about him could get me banned from these forums
