The CBS Early Show always seems to make these rediculous comparisons between old musicians and new ones. For example, some artist that i had never even heard of played on the show a couple of years ago, and the anchors were calling him the new Jimi Hendrix. He basically played power chords non stop. Then they called the Jonas Brothers the new Beatles.

This morning they called Adam Lambert the new Elvis Presley... all i have to say is... what the crap? These people are idiots...

Sorry, just wanted to rant. :D

The new Elvis? Why? Because he simulated sex acts on stage? I know people thought Elvis was pushing the envelope with his dance moves but come on. This guy is just disgusting.

And soon their going to be simulated with other men too.

Is it just me or is he on Elton John's side of the fence?

Elvis can not be compared to. Adam Lambert can be compared though, to a ran over cat. I can't stand him.

That's affirmative Niki. He's a switch hitter.

If his solo career doesn't really take off, don't be surprised to see him doing something with Queen.

So, I'd say he'll be the new Freddie Mercury before he's the new Elvis.

Having watched the American Music Awards the other night, comparison to Elvis? At least when Elvis got "his whistle tooted" it was in the jungle room. It's too bad they try and sell the production number not the talent.

It's all about marketing. In this case he tried to be outrageous. and lo and behold its being talked about, days after what IMHO was a mediocre performance. He has his 15 minute window of opportunity, or else he falls by the wayside of some of the other AI "stars." I think it's time for Elvis to come out of hiding and reclaim his title. After all we know he's not dead, but driving a truck in Memphis.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to one of the local venues to see a blues artist. No lasers, flaming piano's, soaring over the audience, and scantily clad female dancers. OK maybe the dancers would be alright.

Yeah, i think he would fit into Queen much better than Paul Rogers. Not knockin him, just sounds not like Queen with PR.
