Decent job, looks like your well on the way to becoming a great player.

One tip though. For those metal rhythm guitar licks you may do better using the bridge and middle pickups together with the tone on 0. Often times theres a nice impedance unbalance that works well with that kind of driven sound. You'll need to adjust your amp to compensate and the drive pedals gain or volume will likely have to turn up a bit. It will get you a little nearer that nice tight thrashy tone though.

Good job sir.

thanks for all the cool comments, special thanks to ninja, that's me playing after not picking up a guitar for about 9 years and recently picking it up again and a few months of constant practice, but I do see the improvement. Thanks!
And yeah I really like that color too, it's a clear red finish :) I'm not a fan of the gold hardware but whatever.

Well we all know the red ones go faster. The other day I heard that car owners believe the same thing  .

As for gold, who doesnt like gold. Is B.A Barracus wrong? I dont think so and I dont know many people that would tell him to his face if they disagreed.
Red and gold, winning combination in my book. And it gets a seal of approval from

Pity the fool that disagrees with him.

Seriously I liked what you've done with that planet waves cable tie. I've never seen that done before and am now adopting the method too as I dont like feeding the chord through the strap.

Very nice guitar. Love the color. Good technical playing. One suggestion on the sound at least for Metallica:

1. Play with the selector switch on the bridge pickup or the bridge/middle pickups

2. Distortion: Up the bass (6- eight) and treble (10), decrease the mids to between 1-3 either on the amp itself or on the pedal. Metallica scoops their mids almost totally out for their crunch, at least for their older music.

See how that works for you. Otherwise, keep going. Mind you, this is just how I set mine up, and my gear might be a little different than yours.
