Great Blues Jam sunday nites 5:30-10:30 pm. House band is great, no cover charge. Go early to sign book. Usually get to play 3 or 4 songs. It's at the Cove Lounge Revere, Ma. On Revere st. by the beach. It's an old bikers bar, with a great crowd. all different levels of players. I learned alot jamming with these guys. I was known as new mike, not so new anymore.
Great burgers and steak tips too! Anyone know of other good open mic/blues jams?

Most of us are too far from each other to discuss open jam venues but I will say that they advertise them a lot in my area on craigslist under "community - musicians". Seems like there is an open jam every nite somewhere around here.

The house band at the coves blues jam is the 12:01 band all excellent players. They also have a couple cds out, that carter allen played on 100.7 fm classic hits, during the sunday morning blues program.
