 Elaborate on the snatch and jerk bro. This side of the pond you do the latter over the previous.

Explain por favor. And welcome to the forum.

Thanks man. The names of the lifts make for some interesting t-shirt sayings!

The two lifts are also known as the Olympic Lifts, as they are the only lifts in the olympic games. They are very technical and highly demanding of leg, hip, and upper back strength, explosiveness and flexibility. Strictly speaking, one is to lift the weight at arms length in a fluid motion with no pressing or muscling the weight. They are essentially jumping motions.

Interestingly enough, there are many cases of Olympic lifters having a higher vertical leap than Olympic high jumpers and out running Olympic sprinters in the first 40 yards.

Check these out, this is Pyrros Dimas, Greek lifter.

Hope you enjoy the best forum on the web!

Aside from guitar/music, my main hobby is photography. I worked as an intern at my local newspaper. I also lead the photography and online departments at my college newspaper which was a lot of work but I never had a day where I was bored.

For downtime I enjoy playing golf, playing baseball with friends, and auto racing (one of my good friends is a member of a championship modified team).

Those are the highlights at least.

Besides music I really like to do stained glass work. I've made lots of different projects over the years, sidelights, suncatchers, etc.

The main problem is that cuts on the fingers are fairly common and that is not a great mix with guitar playing... :?
