Wasn't really sure what forum to put this under. but im hoping somebody here could help me.

What is this?
http://kitchener.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-se ... 170244686#

Looks pretty neat, and i've always wanted a odd looking guitar to catch some attention, but if its junk. then no bother.

Anybody know?

Trukis,

This may be a Silvertone or Kay or Tiesco etc. I was looking into buying one similar off KIJIJI before and all my research came up with these brands. Apparantly they made many guitars under many different names. The one I was going to purchase was $40 and I saw one in a Long and McQuade store for $99.

I am not sure but my guess would be a Tiesco?

Junk or not? I guess that depends on if you can "not miss" the $150. Just by looking at the photos I'd say that's too much money for that. That tremolo setup looks as if it's dying to make your strings go out of tune.

I'm no expert, but I'd weigh in as a "NO" on that one.

That's a lot of switches. Reminds me of all of Eastwood's overpriced Kay and Airline reissues.

You really think Eastwoods Airline is over priced? The one in the pick could be teisco but there were many similar back then so you would need more pics.

It looks like one of those guitars Sears used to sell in the late '70s. Any body know what I am talking about?

I bet it's a Tiesco. I had a Gel Rey when I was a kid.

Hello Trukis,

Mosrite inspired Tiesco although the name
on the headstock may be different. The price
is about right but don't expect much sustain from
those pickups. If I saw in in a shop and condition
was nice I'd spring for it. More photos wold have
been great. Thanks for pointing it out.

Cheers.

I'm thinking Silvertone-maybe that was Monkey Ward?

The shop I saw selling them was selling them for over $1000.
