November 23 is an important date in the world of the blues. It was on this day in 1936 when Robert Johnson made his first recordings at the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.

Check out the list of songs recorded in San Antonio and Dallas.

Why not celebrate the event by listening to some Robert Johnson songs?

Happy Robert Johnson Day! 8)

Happy RJ day to you as well! I listen to him every day since I have so much of his stuff in my Ipod but I'll give them some extra plays today!

Nice list of songs recorded in that link you posted for sure. Preachin Blues and STOP BREAKIN' DOWN BLUES are 2 of my favorites, although I prefer Son House's Preaching Blues more.

Happy RJ day to all.
