The Beatles Gear by Andy Babiuk of The Chesterfield Kings is a great book,it deals with the chronology of gear the Beatles used through the years and even says who played what on a lot of songs.

Honestly, I've never read a biographical book about anyone related to music so I am of no help to you in this particular area.

I will recommend this though: The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It will keep your mind stimulated and believe it or not, once you really start getting into it, it's tough to put down.

+1000
Sherlock Holmes was always a favorite...can't wait to see Robert Downey Jr as Holmes...not quite Basil Rathbone

I just bought Guitar Player Repair Guide third edition by Dan Erlewine which is just a great trouble shooting book to have. After reading how talented so many of our forum brothers are in that department it made me want to stop being mentally challenged in that area and this book is great.

Claptons autobiography was a good read. Right now I am reading George Harrison. Eric Clapton and Me by Patti Boyd the beautiful ex wife and muse to both, that classics like Something and Layla were written for.
