Ok, not really but I have to get something off my chest.
For the people who post this topic: Are you really going to buy a new guitar or do you just like to pretend as if to brag? If you are, you don't need to ask. Try a guitar out in the store and if it plays good, sounds good, and just feels REALLY good, then get it. I have never bought a guitar just because some people had experience with it or own it. Every piece of wood is different. We'll stick to Fenders here. I own a 2001 Am Std and 1989 Strat plus and 1996 MIJ Jaguar. I have played countless Am Stds and none of them feel as good as mine. I wanted to buy nothing but Strat pluses for a time. only problem was every one I came across did not feel the same. Even ones manufactured the same year.

If you genuinely want advice, fine. Take it all with a grain of salt but be smart enough to form your own opinion. Just try before you buy.

Not trying to be an a-hole or anything just felt I had to put it out there.

-Peace All

I will only talk about Fender guitars because that is all I play...I am soo sick of the Trolls asking about LPs on this forum...this is FENDER!!! LOL, and I am always qualifying my posts with the fact that this is my opinion and it doesn't mean it is right or wrong...it is about a person's taste.

I like it when people ask about different guitars. Everyone is looking for the best guitar and by asking about different models, people get the pros and cons about those models...and sometimes a view on a guitar they had not considered before. I say keep posting those "Clapton vs Standard...which should I get" questions.

BTW...I was looking at a bunch of guitars the other day. I have it narrowed down to 18 Fender guitars that I liked. 6 are MIM Standards, 4 are MIA Standards, 2 MIM with the Floyd Rose Tremolo system, 2 are Highway 1' s (one SSS and the other is a HSS), and 4 American Deluxes. I am really torn. Anybody have any experience playing any of these guitars. I am on a budget of $1800. Which one is the best? (LOL just joking)

First of all MOJO, Welcome to the fourm. For the most part we here at Fender try to help and support each other. Some new players may ask for advice on what to try out. Long time players should be glad to help. Maybe it's just me but i think you need to chill. 8)

Majoredfoot did say

When i bought my guitars, then an amp bought for me which (i basically) chose id never heard of this forum.
Even now unless i was 100% sure of what i intended to buy id go to a shop or some such place and probably walk out with something different to what i originally thought of buying.

So the point is this place is a great place for general opinions and even specific info but what you end up with is most likely to be "what you like and whats available"

Just my 2 pennorth worth (2 cents for our american friends)

@ everyone who told me to "chill"

I'm not one to start a fire on a forum. The point was to put out the idea of try something before you buy it. I did also mention take people's opinions with a grain of salt.
