For mine I would like the following songs:

1. Time--Pink Floyd
2. Momma I'm Coming Home--Ozzy Osbourne
3. Revelations--Iron Maiden
4. Over the Mountain--Ozzy Osbourne
5. Goodbye--Pink Floyd (as the coffin is going down)
6. Taps

This farewell song we're singing for you
'cause we miss you so, yes all of you

just having you near us, we were glad
we aren't worried now we know were you are
you're on that big stage in heaven playing your guitar
playing originals and some choice covers too
and when the crowd wants an encore you'll play 'em the blues
so please wait for us there, we'll come when we can
then our band will regroup for a heavenly jam

I get what you mean StratmanSteve you kinda already did, as those above words appeared on the screen I thought the inspiration for this is the Bros here in the Fender Lounge, all of your favorite guitar players who have moved on, this thread, the posts, ours not mine. I'm the oldest one here I think, so, if I don't have a band when those grave diggers come to tuck me in for the long nap if one of you Bros could read this for me no matter were you are I'll hear you and smile a big guitar smile your way, and I'll return the favor, if wanted.

I want grunge songs played at my funeral, but that probably wont fit in with the feeling of it. So, something in the way by nirvana. Its a calm, depressive, one of my favourite songs really.

I'd hope there'd be plenty o hangovers at mine. A proper irish wake the night before, with loads o jammin and loud music. Annoy the neighbours one last time ;)

"Viva Las Vegas" ...and I have already picked out my "Fat Elvis" Costume (big collar, lots of fringe) Pork Chop sideburns and my "TCB" sunglasses... and also "Funeral For A Friend" by Elton John as well! I want a Hershey Bar in One hand and a Bottle of Jack Daniels in the other...Why make it all sad?

I don't want my funeral to be sad and depressing. I'd like to try and console my family from beyond the grave.

Of course I need a few thought provoking tear jerkers like I mentioned before but I would love everyone to be in football (soccer) jerseys or baseball and hockey jerseys to keep it colourful then I want a big party that goes on til the last guy drops and every musician I know jammin the nights away.

i've always said that if we get to old age, our funerals will be such monstrositys of parties we'll all die off one by one due to the after-effects. Like a kind of pact lol
