I think I'd like to play music I composed. Hey, it's my funeral, right? Why not play MY music?!

Remember "The Big Chill"? The Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" is still a good choice . . . and it sums up my life to an extent.

Kind of an odd topic, but I would have to say something upbeat and not depressing. Not sure right now what the selection would be. Anyone out there planning on being buried with their guitar?

I've got this one on the list

"Killed by Death" - Motorhead

My sons are tasked with other music selections. I have requested that ,since they are both musicians, they play a song if at all possible.

I just hope it's not for a good long time yet.

To be honest, I would just like the song that's played after the end of a Looney Tunes episode with Porky Pig saying "That's All Folks!"

I like that one. +Another one bites the dust and Higway to hell :D

Plus I like to have the funeral on friday. Giving people a three day weekend is the least I can do in my time of death

I won't be having a funeral. I moved around and my old friends are scattered from Cali to MD.

I like Blind Faith's Presence of the Lord, though.

Funny you bring this up! About 6 months ago for some twisted reason I made a "funeral mix" CD up, I'm 42 and in great health. I was just thinkng about all the lame "funeral" music I hear at viewings and wanted stuff I thought was cool/representative of my musical tastes. My wife wasn't too happy when I showed her it told IF something weird were to happen, play this. Some of the songs were:

Thinking in ways- The Badlees
I'll be there- Escape Club
No regrets- Van Wagner
I ain't bound- Nate Myers and the Aces

Plus about 10 others. Was making this CD a weird thing to do? Has anyone else done this?
