this question may have already been asked and answered but I don't know the answer ! Why was the VG Strat discontinued ? :( Wow - I have one and it plays and sounds great ! Just wanting to know why it was discontinued april of this yr.

I didn't realize it was discontinued.

For me it just seemed like too much of a gimmick to be taken seriously, guess I wasn't they only one... :P

It seems like the Gibson Robot guitars are going too. I learned my lesson when I bought a Roland Guitar Synth. Not the same thing as the VG and the Robot, but a gimmick none the less.

That's very interesting, and also unfortunate. I have a Variax guitar and it is wonderful. They are still in production. Hopefully they will continue to be. It's an excellent idea and an excellent instrument.

I did not use a VG Strat but I thought the alternate tunings option was ingenious. I would have expected gigging musicians to buy these guitars because of their practicality and versatility.

I love my VG. Though I forget I own it sometimes o_O It doesnt get played much tbh, but it feels great. It's just I have guitars that are setup for other tunings, and I prefer to just use them than change a dial.
