Hi fellow Fenderphiles,I went to a Marty Stuart concert Friday night,it was fabulous and superlative.Marty and Cousin Ken were trading Danny Gatten style lighteningfast licks all night, although I'm not a huge country fan I love Marty's type of music and virtuosity in any genre blows me away.Marty also showed his prowess on a mandolin solo that was beyond belief, his fingers were a blur. The concert was all acoustic and Marty and Ken played Martins, what they say is true,no guitar sounds like a Martin. After the concert I lined up with the faithful and brought along my 50th Ann. Strat which I had signed by Marty and the band,Marty wanted to sign the back of the headstock but I wanted his autograph on the pickguard so they all signed that.I had a very short chat with him and said I think I should by a Martin he said everyone should own a Martin.Even though I love my Fenders I'm inclined to go along with him.

Marty rocks. "All The Pretty Horses" is the only soundtrack I own.

Hi folks:I agree Marty ain't real big but as a musician he's a giant, all his band are.He didn't bring his Teles, the whole concert was played on Martins, I don't know the models,I'm guessing D28s but it was still incredible and Ken's solo on"Tempted"was dead on.The sound at the concert was crystal clear,I don't know if these guys do all his concerts but they know what they're doing.
