Hey Gang,

Have any of you gotten the "new" 40th anniversary edition of Get your Ya Ya's out? It seems that this set is packaged several ways, some with dvds some with LPs Etc.
I'm wondering if the original tracks are Re mastered or if they are the same as what I already have?
There is the Ike and Tina Turner set on the 40th as well as BB King. might be worth it for those...

Bill

Really!? They've finally done a deluxe reissue of this!? I've been wanting and waiting for it ... gotta run to check it out ...

I'm back. I guess I'll ask Santa for it, but it's not what I was hoping for. I believe the original tracks were from Madison Square Garden. They played a few shows there, I believe: a couple a day for a couple of days.

I was hoping for a few complete shows from MSG or other gigs on their 1969 tour. I have gathered the audio from many 1969 shows, but I was hoping for high quality official releases. This set devotes CDs to BB King and Ike & Tina Turner, but I wanted MORE STONES!

i was reading the background on this cd and saw that it also includes BB King and one other person who were the opening acts for the Stones. Thats pretty awesome, you dont see most live cds around like that that include the headline act and the opening acts.

Man, what a great album. One of my favorites. I'll look for it next time I'm out shopping.

Great album in everyway and also the only Stones live album that is any good. For a band that has made some of the most dreadful live albums like -Got live if you want it-Love you Live and Still Life to name a few this album is just magic and is everything great the Stones are about. Growing up the Stones were always my second favorite band behind-do I even have to say it.lol

But for some reason there live albums were just awful in everyway. Back in those days and even till today the best way to learn a song is to listen to a live album as you are getting rid of whatever is overdubbed and what the band is using live, as almost everyone knows on a single song you could have 10 guitar parts if not more.

Get yer Ya Yas Out is the Stones at there grimiest best and Mick Taylor just kicks it up a notch along with a great produced and sounding album. After listening to this put on Got Live if you Want it or Still Life which sounds like a band going through the motions besides the sound being horrible on those albums. For everything that went right on Ya Yas it is mind boggling they could never make another decent =forget classic live album again.

I found it online and it was about a hundred bucks. I think I'll pass. It comes with 3 cds and 3 LPs and a DVD. The less expensive version doesn't have all that stuff and the website wasn't concise about what it does have which makes me think it's only the cd, which I already have.
