I just got back a few minutes ago and I'm not unhappy with it. I don't want to ruin it for anyone but it wasn't what I thought. It started at 3:30 and I got out at around 6:15 maybe, it was pretty long.

I saw the trailer and it looks as dumb as all the other end of the world disaster movies.

It takes a lot more to get me to the movies than that.

Maybe someone will make a "Scary Movie" out of it.

That is a shame because I really like John Cusak...he always made me laugh with his work!

Man, I can't stand those knockoff comedies. The next one will be
"Pointless Movie". As for 2012... it's after theatre highpoint will probably be "South Park". That's usually a good program.

Let me guess.

Do they destroy a lot of famous world landmarks?

Do people in cars go "wwwwhhhhooaaaa!!!" as they swerve wildly, narrowly missing fatal obstructions?

Do bridges break in the middle and vehicles fall to their doom?

Are people slaughtered in their thousands or millions, but touchingly a small cat or dog or obnoxious child is saved?

Are the FX bigger and better than ever before - and yet somehow we've seen it all before?

Meh. I think I'll pass...

Cheers - C

Yeah, it does look a bit shoddy.

Ceri, you forgot the scene where Cusack, and the female lead, out run a slow-motion explosion down a hallway. It's cool 'cause just when they get
to the end and turn a corner, the explosion speeds up, and blows into
room like a fiery locomotive.

That was close!!

Yep - I forgot to predict that one. But let's face it, we could see it coming!

Hey, I've got this neat idea for a disaster movie. There's this meteorite heading straight for the earth, see, and... ... ... :D

It just looks like a lame 2-3hours spent watching actors react to the computer images that were not there while they were acting in front of a blue or green screen...Pretty much like most of the crap coming out these days...stop putting the actor names on the marquee, and start giving the computer programmers and animators their due, cause thats what people end up watching more of these days, the effects and computer animation...

I heard the movie sucked so much that it has created a vacuum in space which may lead to the complete destruction of our planet.

Hay things got blowed up good, they blowed up real good,
