Buddy Guy - brilliant, great entertainer and just a nice guy (pardon the pun).

BB is/was always my favorite - first electric blues I ever heard was Sweet Sixteen, 30 years ago, and I never looked back.

But two years ago he played what was advertised as his "retirement gig" here in the UK, NEC. He was never going to tour outside the US again apparently due to his age. Fair enough, the man has earned a rest. So I paid the rather expensive ticket price and went to see him (for the 5th and possibly last time). Exept, he was back the very next year, and has continued to tour. Maybe not so much, but nevertheless........ So I kinda feel ripped off. I have no doubt it was down to the promoters and not BB himself, but still a rip off.
:x

You won't regret it, along with the music BB shares some of his life experiences and he has had quite a few! That seems to be the icing on the cake for me. I have drove my wife crazy watching EC's Crossroads festival..... I would also like to see Eric Clapton in concert someday.
Alot of our blues hero's are passing on, and i want to see as many as possible before they do. The thrill is NOT gone, BB.....not for us Fender Forum members. Hope you get those tickets KRAD 8)

Seen both # of times. Last time I saw Buddy in Lowell, Ma. he walked out into the crowd, I didn't have my pickguard, bummer. Made the same mistake with John Lee Hooker many years ago at Johnathan swifth? in Harvard Sq. camb. Enjoy the show!!!

That is cool......we'll be seeing him February 4th, 2010. That will be my second time seeing BB and my first seeing Buddy Guy. I am really looking forward to it.

I've seen Buddy three times but I got to see BB just one time. I guess he's getting a little forgetful these days (understandable, so am I) because he introduced the band three times. Every time he came to the area something would happen and I couldn't go. I'm glad I finally got to see The King.

Yep, take a pickguard and sharpie!! I got a strat pg signed by Buddy Guy when he played in Charleston WV earlier this year! Even was lucky enough to catch one of his guitar picks! As far as getting it signed, get as close to the stage as you can when the encore is finishing - I just reached up over the crowd and handed it to him, being 6'1 kinda helped I guess
